Managing Director, Jason Stirbinskis, appointed

The Company is now primed to accelerate corporate and exploration activity and has appointed (subject to in-country due diligence currently underway) a Managing Director to focus on corporate strategy, thus also freeing up Simon Brown to focus an exploration as in-country Executive Director.

ARL Chairman, Ross Ashton

We welcome our new Managing Director, Jason Stirbinskis MBA, B.Sc (Geology) to Andes Resources. Jason is currently a Director of Mount Burgess Mining, a role he will retain going forward but in a reduced capacity. He has previously been MD/CEO of Central Asia Resources, Philips River Mining and Drake Resources. Jason is a Corporate Geologist and has also held GM roles within metallurgical/engineering consultancies and has many years executive level experience in banking and finance. Jason’s immediate focus will be to articulate the Company’s corporate strategy and the next exciting phase of the Company’s growth.

Jason Stirbinskis

Andes has secured an impressive asset portfolio in an underexplored region of the Mid-Cauca gold-copper belt which hosts million ounce discoveries within the vicinity of the Andes tenement suite and some 70Moz within the broader mineralised province.
Commodity markets are improving, investors are returning to the junior sector and the perception of Colombia as an exploration jurisdiction is improving. This backdrop combined with numerous established exploration targets within a cohesive 80,000 Ha land package, makes Andes well placed to secure funding for a drilling program on the drill-ready El Columpio and San Pablo prospects in the near term.

I look forward to working with the Board and shareholders to establish our corporate strategic path and contacting our shareholders when I return in late November.
